Welcome to the web site of the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Evansville. The Exercise and Sport Science Department offers majors in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Physical Education, Sport Communication, Sport Management and Clinical Laboratory Science. All of these majors provide opportunities for experience in a wide variety of educational endeavors. The Exercise Science major is endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Summer 2008 opportunities to study abroad in England. As part of the Cross Cultural Academy in Health Care, the EXSS Department is offering a 3-credit EXSS 488 experience entitled Cardiac Rehabilitation: An International Perspective. This course utilizes a comparative approach to study the design, implementation, and administration of a multidimensional cardiac rehabilitation program in the American and British systems. In addition, historical roots of medical cardiac rehabilitation, and public health are explored.
