Minor in Elementary Physical Education

The minor prepares the Elementary Education student to teach Physical Education in the elementary school setting. Students obtaining this minor are licensed to teach physical education in the Early Childhood and Middle Childhood developmental levels. This minor is only applicable to Elementary Education majors.

Required Courses: HE 360 (The School Health Program), EXSS 183 (Lifetime Fitness Activities), EXSS 222 (Practical Experiences in Youth Fitness & Health Awareness), EXSS 281 (Curriculum Development in Team Sports), EXSS 286 (Gymnastics-Tumbling), EXSS 352 (Physiology of Exercise), EXSS 383 (Curriculum Development in Lifetime Fitness Activities), EXSS 453 (Motor Learning), and EXSS 381 (Elementary PE).
