Welcome to the HKSS Department's Certification Home

At this time, the Exercise Physiology world does NOT have a national or state system of licensure as does Athletic Training or Physical Therapy. Therefore, the HKSS Department encourages all of our students to become certified. Cerification can ensure an employer that an applicant meets some minimum level of competency. Many different types of certification exist from various organizations and agencies. In an effort to help you sort through all of the certifications that are offered, the HKSS Department has a site that lists some of the major certification organizations with contact information.
