Welcome to the Exercise and Sport Science Internship Web site. Here you will find links to internship objectives along with internship sites to contact for your internship.

To obtain an internship you should first determine what kind of internship you are interested in, for example are you interested in cardiac rehabilitation, wellness, fitness centers or corporate fitness. You should then determine where you want to do your internship, at home, during the semester at UE or during the semester at some distant site.

If you are considering an internship while at UE, there is a link provided with the names of internship sites that our students have used in the past. In addition, only those sites where our students have had favorable experiences are listed.

If you are considering an internship outside of Evansville, some sites where students have done an internship are listed.

Provided are links to the agreement and evaluation forms that are needed for the internship. You should take the agreement form with you when you meet with your internship provider and fill in the experiences that are agreed upon. Make sure all signatures are on the form and provide a copy to your internship advisor at UE. The evaluation form is needed by the internship provider for your grade. The internship supervisor should grade you on each of the areas provided on the evaluation form as well as an overall rank. You should discuss your grades with your internship supervisor prior to sending a copy to your UE internship advisor.
